Learners will study the structure and purpose of the Incident Command System (ICS), understanding how it applies to both emergency situations and daily activities. They will gain an appreciation for the importance of preparedness and the need to collaborate with external agencies. Learners will also explore the interconnectedness of ICS, risks, vulnerabilities, and their responsibilities in both routine operations and during incidents. Throughout the course, learners will engage in knowledge checks and complete a final exam that assesses their understanding of the relationship between ICS and their role.
